ABOUT THE NOYES MUSEUM
As the sole fine art museum in the region, The Noyes Museum maintains our founders’ dedication to preserving, highlighting, interpreting, and celebrating the arts. The Noyes Museum of Art was the vision of entrepreneurs Fred W. and Ethel (Lingelbach) Noyes, Jr. who were avid art and antique collectors. Fred was also an academically trained artist with a love of southern New Jersey's natural features. His art and personal collection of vintage bird decoys are now a part of the Museum’s vast permanent collection of 19th to 21st century fine and folk art. In 2010, Stockton University entered into a collaboration with the Noyes Museum of Art that is beneficial to students and enthusiasts of the arts, as well as the University, Museum and the entire southern New Jersey region. Stockton, with a longstanding commitment to the arts and humanities, supports an expanded array of educational opportunities, events, exhibits and performances at the Noyes Museum of Art.

For the 2016 New Jersey Arts Annual in Fine Art, the Noyes Museum will encompass a cross section of contemporary art production by New Jersey artists. Rather than a specific theme, the exhibition itself—a roster of New Jersey artists at all points of their career—will be the curatorial premise and the subject of this show. The selected artworks will showcase the current state of contemporary art and varied artistic practices throughout the state.www.artscouncil.nj.gov.
